  • AFAF: Airmen caring for Airmen

    Team Moody is scheduled to kick off the 2020 Air Force Assistance Fund campaign, and will accept donations March 16 to April 24, at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia. Moody’s campaign goal is $61,635, which will help fund the charitable affiliates of AFAF that provide support to Airmen and their families.
  • 23d CPTS wins FM Innovation of the Quarter Award

    The Air Force is constantly looking for ways to improve processes and procedures that help Airmen accomplish the mission more efficiently. The 23d Comptroller Squadron won the Air Combat Command Financial Management Innovation of the Quarter Award Feb. 3, 2020, for switching up their permanent change of station procedures for in-processing Airmen.

    Team Moody hosted Cub Con III Feb. 29, 2020, here. At the convention, guests participated in a video game tournament, special effects make-up demo and a costume contest. Cub Con III, a multi-genre entertainment convention, is a way for enthusiasts to bolster a community of pop culture within the Moody and Valdosta area.
  • WFSM shop keeps Moody afloat

    Whether it’s fixing a leak across the 160 miles of piping, or replacing a faucet in one of the many bathrooms across base, Moody plumbers keep the base afloat. The 23d Civil Engineer Squadron water and fuel systems maintenance shop manages plumbing, from water collection systems to liquid fuel storage, in order to keep Moody running smoothly while upholding the highest environmental standards.

    The 41st Rescue Squadron executes a physically demanding mission of personnel recovery, in doing so, rescue members require a recovery of their own.   Lori Uretsky, 41st Rescue Squadron athletic trainer, provides these Rescue Airmen with preventative care and treatment for injuries to keep them mission ready.
