Airmen from the 820th Base Defense Group embrace Master Sgt. Aaron Frederick, 93d Air Ground Operations Wing command chief executive assistant, and Staff Sgt. Bradley Mock 824 Base Defense Squadron superintendent of supply, for their heroic actions after a medallion ceremony, July 8, 2016, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Both Frederick and Mock earned an Air Force Combat Action Medal, which is awarded to Airmen who have been under direct and hostile fire while operating outside the defended perimeter or physically engaging hostile forces with direct and lethal fire.
