    Moody prepares for hurricane season

    Airmen here buckled up the base, battled heavy winds and provided support for off-base recovery efforts during a hurricane evacuation exercise held May 15 - 18. Responding to "Hurricane Timothy" provided a realistic evaluation of the 347th Rescue Wing's capability to plan and take the proper precautions for an impending natural disaster, said Maj.
  • MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. - Gregory Lee, 347th Civil Engineer Squadron natural resources manager, captures an alligator from Mission Lake April 19. The 8-foot-3-inch male alligator was removed from the lake for safety reasons stemming from human feeding. Typically, the “problem” alligators are transported to Grand Bay. However, this alligator is a repeat offender and was also found on a runway recently. The 347th CES Environmental Flight called a county trapper who took him to an alligator breeding farm.

    DUIs deadly to career, other options available

    A driving under the influence conviction can be as deadly to an Air Force career as to a human life. Four Moody Airmen have been arrested in the last six weeks for DUIs, highlighting some still aren’t getting the message.
