About

Women In Aviation week is a global aviation awareness week observed to mark the anniversary of the world’s first female pilot license (March 8, 1910).

At the 23rd Wing, the goal for WIA is to connect a younger generation to Moody Air Force Base Airmen and inspire them for careers in airpower leading to a more diverse and effective Air Force in the future.

This year, the objective is to aim for a more inclusive WIA by highlighting women who not only fly aircraft, but those who fuel them, fix them, launch them and more. This page is dedicated to the 23rd Wing's involvement in WIA. All products revolving around WIA will be viewable on this page, or on our DVIDS page; simply click the WIA logo on the right.
