    The judge advocate (JA) office aided retirees complete their wills Oct. 8, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. JA regularly aids retirees and military members with wills on Tuesdays. This free legal assistance provides personal and financial relief for customers and enables Airman readiness.

    Airmen with the 71st Aircraft Maintenance Unit prepared an HC-130J Combat King II for a situational awareness communication upgrade (SACU) modification Sept. 25, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. This SACU will enhance the aircraft’s ability to communicate with personnel on the ground during search and rescue operations.
  • Moody removes barriers for spouses after PCS

    The Airmen & Family Readiness Center recently began offering the spouse relicensure reimbursement program at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The program, an Air Force-wide initiative, provides financial relief of up to $500 to Airmen whose spouses must obtain state occupational relicensures or recertifications during a permanent change of station or assignment across state lines.
  • Col. Walls signs proclamation for Fire Prevention Week

    Col. Daniel P. Walls, 23d Wing commander, signed a Fire Prevention Week proclamation Sept. 23, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Walls proclaimed the week of Oct. 6-12 as Fire Prevention Week, which is designed to commemorate the sacrifices of our firefighters and teach fire safety to others.
  • Airmen ruck to honor POW/MIA Recognition Day

    Airmen participated in the POW/MIA Recognition Day ruck march Sept. 20, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. In 1979, the United States Congress passed a resolution authorizing National POW/MIA Recognition Day to be observed together with the national effort of bringing isolated personnel home. The 347th Operations Support Squadron hosted the 24-hour ruck march to pay tribute to those who’ve been captured or missing in the line of duty.

    Moody’s first ever “Owning Your Story” seminar took place Sept. 12, 2019. During the event, Airmen shared stories of resiliency and how they overcame their adversity in a positive way.
  • Families get served during Deployed Spouses Dinner

    The Airmen and Family Readiness Center hosted a Deployed Spouses Dinner Sept. 17, here, for Team Moody families with loved ones currently deployed downrange. The monthly event is a free dinner at Georgia Pines Dining Facility designed as a ‘thank you’ for each families’ support and sacrifice.
  • Chaplain gets ‘real’ during resiliency training

    Airmen from the 23d Civil Engineer Squadron participated in a “Resilience: For Real Life & Real People” seminar Sept. 10, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The event was hosted by the 23d Wing chaplain, and served as an interactive experience for Airmen, providing practical approaches they can use regularly to improve the resiliency culture in their squadrons.
  • Moody celebrates diversity, creates culture of possibilities

    Team Moody hosted its third annual 23d Wing Diversity Day Aug. 29, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Diversity Day honored the cultures of all groups and organizations observed by the Department of Defense, from LGBTQ equality to Native American heritage, and brought Airmen from across the base together to celebrate their unique differences. This year’s theme was ‘It’s not just black and white, open your palette, create a culture of possibilities.’
