Travel Management offers tips for summertime moving

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The Traffic Management flight's busiest season, summer, is upon us and it likely won't slow down until fall. To ensure mission accomplishment, the staff will work extended hours.

As customers, the military community here can do their part to help customer service remains as high as possible.

- Upon receipt of orders, immediately visit our office to schedule an appointment. During that time, you will complete a worksheet with information required to prepare for your appointment or briefing. The earlier you make an appointment, the better your chances of receiving your desired pickup date.

- Unfortunately there will be times when the agent and carriers will not be able to pick up on your primary requested dates. Therefore, another way to help us assist you better is to make sure you have alternate dates in mind when you schedule your appointment.

- The Joint Personal Property Shipping Office (JPPSO-SAT) located in San Antonio, Texas, is responsible for the majority of our back office functions. The JPPSO-SAT is responsible for the booking of all outbound shipments. If you don't receive an e-mail confirming your pickup dates within 10 business days prior to your requested pickup date, please contact our office immediately.
