Giving back during the holiday seasons

Moody members can make a difference this holiday season by participating in the on-going Angel Tree program.

Sponsored by the Airman and Family Readiness Center, the Angel Tree program will run through Dec. 16 and gives you a chance to make a child happy for the holidays.

The Angel Tree is currently in the A&FRC lobby, building 400, with paper ornaments strung it. These ornaments are made to look like angels, but they are not just your average angels. Each one contains a child's name and the present they most want to receive.

For a child's name to be placed on the Angel Tree, each squadron first nominates a family that may be less fortunate during the holiday season.

The angel ornament is placed on the tree until someone picks it up. After the angel is chosen and the present is bought, the member returns the wrapped gift to the A&FRC before the final turn-in date of Dec. 16.

With times being tough especially during the holidays, the gift the child receives may be the only present they get.
