Wing CC addresses housing internet issue
MOODY AIR FORCE BASE—Residents of Moody’s base housing and the local area gathered in Quiet Pines for a town hall meeting, June 14, here.
U.S. Air Force Col. Thomas Kunkel, 23d Wing commander, addressed the recent internet outage and concerns of Moody’s residents affected.
“Nothing probably gets people more upset than losing their internet service,” said Kunkel, who empathized with the residents. “When the internet goes down [at my house] it’s a crisis, so I get this. I want to let [the residents] know how aggressively we’re working this issue.”
During the meeting the new internet service provider said that service may be restored to some areas more quickly than others, but assured residents that they were working to restore internet capabilities to all affected areas as quickly as possible.
