WTI 2-23: AST-3 Non-combatant Evacuation Operations Exercise
Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron-1
April 14, 2023 | 6:05
U.S. Marines and Navy Sailors assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, and Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1), conduct Non-combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO) during Assault Support Tactics 3 (AST-3), part of Weapons and Tactics Instructors (WTI) course 2-23, at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, April 14, 2023. WTI, hosted by MAWTS-1, is a seven-week course providing standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine aviation training and readiness. AST-3 is a multi-mission evolution consisting of a NEO as well as Foreign Humanitarian Assistance operations. This evolution allows the prospective WTIs to plan, brief and execute both missions while shifting their focus towards an in-depth review and dissection of rules of engagement, military authorities and civil considerations. About Moody Bridge Chat

Bridge Chat's purpose is to create cohesive, high-performing teams that foster trust and connection through flexible and consistent small group discussions; in direct response to overwhelming feedback from the CSAF 21's Resilience Tactical Pause.

Caring for our Wingmen is what defines us as Airmen, so we must work to get to know our teammates and the challenges they face. We all have the same responsibility of creating the workplace we want and supporting the people we share our lives with.

Bridge Chat topics are posted here monthly to encourage small group discussions within teams. Beginning the process of recurring discussions can be difficult, but will become easier with time and reinforce the Flying Tiger culture.

To help us initiate and facilitate these discussions, we have included a guide that defines roles and ground rules.

The Flying Tiger Bridge Chat Facilitator provides facilitator trainings for base personnel. Their goal is to create squadron facilitators who take action on ACC's goal of equipping, engaging and empowering Airmen with resilience tools and create high-performing teams who look out for each other.
