Ukraine’s 2014 parliamentary elections saw 11 percent of female MPs elected to the Verkhovna Rada, a record for the country. Two of these new politicians speak to NATO Channel about their hopes for reforming government and how far is still left to go for women’s rights in Ukraine.
What does it take to be a successful woman Ukraine’s government? Two of Ukraine’s female MPs talk about the challenges continuing to face women, their commitment to reform and their hopes and fears for the effect of conflict on their children.

Interviewees are: Victoria Voytsitska, member of the Parliament of Ukraine of the 8th Convocation, member of the parliamentary faction Samopomich Union, and Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, first deputy chairperson, Committee on Foreign Affairs, Verkhovna Rada.
