4/70th Assumption of Command Ceremony

The 4/70th Armor Battalion out of Baumholder, Germany conducted an Assumption of Command ceremony to welcome their new commander Lt. Col Sean Fisher. Lt. Col. Fisher of Deerville Beach, FL took over a battalion that has been without a commander for over a month and a half. Maj. Gregg Haley Executive Officer from St. Louis, MO ran the 4/70 while the battalion was without a commander. The former commander Lt. Col. David Oeschger was injured in attack on Tarin Kot, along with eight other soldiers from the 4/70th. Lt. Col. Oeschger is back with his family in Germany with his family recovering from his injuries. Col. Bob Akam Commander Combined Team Uruzgan from San Antonio, TX oversaw the event. Col. Akam spoke on behalf of the 4/70th with Lt. Col. Fisher. He spoke of the campaigns the battalion has been in, and of the great things the battalion is doing in Southern Afghanistan. Also available in high definition

The Flying Tiger Bridge Chat Facilitator provides facilitator trainings for base personnel. Their goal is to create squadron facilitators who take action on ACC's goal of equipping, engaging and empowering Airmen with resilience tools and create high-performing teams who look out for each other.
