How do I file a complaint without fear of reprisal?

The Inspector General complaint resolution program is open to all Air Force active duty, reserve, guard, dependents, retired or civilian members to use without fear of reprisal. 

The IG office would like to remind Airmen that most issues can be resolved at the unit level. 

Give your supervisor, first sergeant or commander a chance to help resolve the problem first. If you feel you cannot use the chain of command to assist you, call the wing IG. For more information, call (229) 257-3341/5696.

 

 

How do I report fraud, waste or abuse?

Individuals aware of fraud, waste or abuse should report it to the 23rd Wing Inspector General by calling the IG 24-hour hotline at (229) 257-5698.

Airmen who report FW&A violations are protected from reprisals under federal law, Section 1034 of Title 10, United States Code. For more information, call (229) 257-3341/5696.

 

 

How do we remove hazardous materials from our workplace?

The HAZMART office offers services such as waste minimization, hazardous waste curbside pick-up, compliance help, fluorescent light bulb disposal, waste disposal, help in completing waste profile forms, battery disposal, surplus hazardous material disposal and answering general questions about compliance with hazardous materials. 

Offices with excess or overstocked hazardous materials that are useable can arrange for their material to be removed by calling the HAZMART office. 
Useable hazardous materials will be placed into a free-issue inventory and made available to all offices that have authorization or approval to have the materials at their location.

What if I believe the Air Force is paying too much for an item?

If an individual believes the Air Force is paying too much for an item, they can submit a price challenge along with a plan of action on how that item can be bought or made for less. The Air Force has established this program to identify and correct cases of overpricing in Air Force acquisitions. The program gives personnel a chance to help the Air Force manage funds more effectively. Individuals may receive a cash award for their efforts. For more information, call 229- 257-3396.

 

What is required for a DRMS withdrawal?

Base agencies who are interested in ordering through the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (http://www.drms.dla.mil) online must first call the 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron Customer Service Center to obtain a requisition number. The requesting agency must submit a letter of authorization on file with the center.

Where can I handle out-processing for all logistics readiness matters?

The Customer Service desk for the 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, located in building 932A, is the single point of contact for out-processing matters. An individual who is an equipment or Special Purpose Recoverable Authorized Maintenance Spurs custodian must meet requirements for clearing an account prior to out-processing. All active accounts in the Standard Assets Tracking System must be inactive before clearance through the Virtual Out-processing Program. Who should I contact regarding logistics readiness support?

The Logistics Readiness Squadron Customer Service Center provides customer assistance, handles complaints, queries and questions regarding LRS support.
