Command changes hands at 347 RQG

U.S. Air Force Col. Brian L. Desautels, right, assumes command of the 347th Rescue Group as he receives the guidon from Col. Paul Sheets, 23rd Wing commander, during a change of command ceremony at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, July 14, 2025. Throughout his career, Desautels logged more than 2,300 flying hours, including 260 combat hours with 27 combat saves and 36 combat assists. The passing of the guidon is a symbolic tradition in the U.S. military that represents the formal transfer of leadership from one commander to another.
