Generations of aviation
A restored WWII original PT-17 Stearman is parked on the flight line in front of a U.S. flag at Douglas, Georgia, Dec. 4, 2021. This aircraft was flown by retired 2nd Lt. Richard Piepenbring, grandfather of U.S. Air Force Maj. Will Piepenbring, 23rd Fighter Group assistant director of operations.
