Moody pararescueman named AF’s Angel of the Battlefield

Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, recognized Staff Sgt. Nicholas Brunetto, 38th Rescue Squadron pararescueman, as one of the Angels of the Battlefield Award recipients. Brunetto was the U.S. Air Force’s recipient of the annual award for his acts of heroism and courage on the battlefield while deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and the Resolute Support mission. Each year, five service members are awarded the Angels of the Battlefield Award and applauded for their selfless courage and unwavering sacrifice while saving lives on the front lines overseas or during emergency situations here at home.
