Hot pits refuel aircraft in speedy manner
Airman 1st Class Austin P. Byrne, 23d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron assistant dedicated crew chief, fuels an A-10C Thunderbolt II during hot pits Dec. 10, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The 23d AMXS and the 23d Logistics Readiness Squadron’s petroleum, oils and lubricants flight perform hot pits to refuel aircraft as the engine continues to run.
