23d Wing leadership tours Grand Bay Range
Col. Dan Walls, 23d Wing commander, looks through the sights of a man-portable air-defense system during a 23d OSS immersion Dec. 2, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The system is used to simulate missile launches against aircraft. The 23d Wing leadership toured Grand Bay Range to see the daily operations of the control tower and maintenance of the range. The 23d OSS Airmen work together to continually improve the A-10C Thunderbolt IIs’ capabilities at home station, in turn ensuring accuracy and lethality downrange.
