71st AMU keeps 'Combat Kings' mission ready
A pilot from the 71st Rescue Squadron (RQS), sits in the cockpit of an HC-130J Combat King II, Aug. 13, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Airmen from the 71st Aircraft Maintenance Unit perform various tasks prior to takeoff to ensure the aircraft is performing optimally to complete its mission of supporting the 71st RQS. Those tasks consist of: pre-flight inspection, removing plugs and cover, fueling the aircraft, repairing any problems found during crew pre-flight checks as well as marshaling the aircraft for takeoff.
