71st AMU keeps 'Combat Kings' mission ready
Airman 1st Class Gary Scott, left, 347th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment apprentice, performs a pre-flight inspection, Aug. 13, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Airmen from the 71st Aircraft Maintenance Unit and other supporting units perform various tasks prior to takeoff to ensure the aircraft is performing optimally to complete its mission of supporting the 71st Rescue Squadron. Those tasks consist of: pre-flight inspection, removing plugs and cover, repairing any problems found during crew pre-flight checks as well as marshaling the aircraft for take-off.
