FARP tryouts test POL Airmen
Airman 1st Class John Miller, center, 23d Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels distribution operator, rolls up a fuel line hose during Forward Area Refueling Point (FARP) team tryouts, June 21, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The FARP team is comprised of elite fuels special operators whose mission is to provide needed fuel to aircraft in any environment in a swift manner. In order to become fully qualified, FARP team members must undergo a rigorous amount of continuous physical and mental training to ensure they’re fit for duty. Following the tryouts the Airmen were interviewed to further evaluate their mental readiness to join the FARP team and ultimately one Airman was chosen.
