FARP tryouts test POL Airmen

Tech. Sgt. Bryan Winterstein, 23d Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) fuels distribution quality assurance inspector, carries a fuel line hose during Forward Area Refueling Point (FARP) team tryouts, June 21, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The FARP team is made up of Airmen from the 23d LRS Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants flight that are responsible for providing needed fuel to aircraft in a rapid manner. In order to become fully qualified, FARP team members must undergo a rigorous amount of continuous physical and mental training to ensure they’re fit for duty. Following the tryouts the Airmen were interviewed to further evaluate their mental readiness to join the FARP team and ultimately one Airman will be chosen.
