23d CES lead the way during readiness training

Airmen from the 23d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) walk to simulated damaged areas during airfield recovery training, May 23, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The training consisted of Airmen responding to a simulated bombed airfield and perform the proper steps and procedures to ensure rapid airfield damage repair. The training prepared the Airmen for potential threats that they could face while downrange. “It is our goal that our Airmen will become more familiar with the tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) in the absence of resources,” said Chief Master Sgt. Caleb Vaden, 23d CES superintendent. “Our Airmen are very resourceful, and are able to drive great discussion about additional improvements to the current TTPs, that we will continue to consolidate and share with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center.
