23d CES lead the way during readiness training
Staff Sgt. Luis Lopez, right, 23d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) NCO in charge of customer service, briefs Col. Dee Jay Katzer, left, command engineer for Air Combat Command (ACC), during a squadron tour, May 22, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Katzer’s first visit to Moody consisted of a base tour, along with visiting various 23d CES shops. He also observed Airmen from the 23d CES conduct airfield recovery training. “As COMACC’s Civil Engineer Division Chief, it’s important that Katzer understand the missions of the 23d Wing, 93d Air Ground Operations Wing and their mission partners that rely on Moody and Avon Park Air Force Range,” said Lt. Col. Michael Francis, 23d CES commander. “This allows Katzer and his staff to better advocate for the engineering and facility requirements needed to enable the 23d CES’s operational missions here.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Erick Requadt)
