An Airman assigned to the 822d Base Defense Squadron plots points on a map during Scorpion Stakes, Feb. 20, 2019, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. After plotting the points, the Airmen had to find the points on land and bring the item at the point back to the starting point. The competition includes 18 stations such as a ruck, litter carry, simulated hostage rescue, vehicle search. Scorpion Stakes takes all the day-to-day fundamental skills and job knowledge and challenges Airmen on their career training and knowledge while having to physically and mentally overcoming obstacles.
