Faces of Moody

Investing in his first DJ set less than a year ago, Tech. Sgt. Kerry Smith, 823d Base Defense Squadron unit training manager, has become an entertainer at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., as a DJ. “People are my passion,” Smith said. “Anyone who knows me will tell you how I’m all about positivity, trying to make people laugh and motivate them. (Being a DJ) is definitely a way for me to do that. People want me to create an experience for them; I just put my personality into it and try to create the best possible time for them that I can. It’s fun to see people dance and having a great time at an event, and I love being able to see people go in different directions listening to different songs. Their reactions to the songs are what motivates me, and I want to create an experience where it’s like that the whole time. All in all, it’s a great experience, and that encourages me to keep going.”
