74th FS out guns competition during Hawgsmoke 2018

An A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot with the 163d Fighter Squadron, Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base, Ind., makes a strafe pass during Hawgsmoke at Cannon Range, Mo., Oct. 18, 2018. The competition is a biennial worldwide A-10 bombing, missile and tactical gunnery competition derived from the discontinued "Gunsmoke" Air Force Worldwide Gunnery Competition. The 74th FS brought home the top overall team award, Top Tactical and Top Conventional team awards. Based on their winning performance, Moody is slated to host the next Hawgsmoke in 2020.
