823d BDS chief retires after 27 years of service

Beth Houtz places a retirement pin on her husband, Chief Master Sgt. David Houtz, 823d Base Defense Squadron chief enlisted manager’s lapel, during his retirement ceremony, Dec. 1, 2017, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Houtz enlisted in the Air Force on Oct. 6, 1991. During his 27-year career, he has held numerous leadership roles while supporting Operations Provide Promise, Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Inherent Resolve.
