822d BDS regains Global Response Force status
Airman 1st Class Chun Ko, 105th Base Defense Squadron fireteam member, looks into a nearby village to ensure there are no hostile villagers preparing to ambush is team during a Mission Readiness Exercise, March 8, 2017, at Avon Park Air Force Range, Fla. Airmen from the 105th BDS embedded into the 822d Base Defense Squadron to participate in the exercise. While the 822d BDS used the exercise to validate their training and regain their status as a Global Response Force, the 105th BDS received training that allowed them to show their capabilities and strengthened the bond between the two squadrons.
