Energy action

October is National Energy Action Month which was designed in 1991 to promote energy awareness and encourage ways of conserving energy and water while eliminating waste. The Department of Defense’s goal for fiscal year 2015 is to reduce energy consumption by 30 percent. For the year, Team Moody has accomplished a reduction rate of 27.1 percent.. Everyone is encouraged to continue maintaining energy efficient mindsets at work and at home by turning off computer monitors that aren’t in use, changing computer settings to power-save mode and turning off lights in unoccupied areas which conserves energy and saves money.
