MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Airmen of the 23rd Equipment Maintenance Squadron make preparations to inspect for cracks within the wing frame of a A-10C Thunderbolt II model grounded here Oct.4. After identifying structural cracks on thin skinned A-10s and A-10C Thunderbolt II models the Air Combat Command has issued a systematic grounding of certain affected airframes by corresponding tail number. The risk of structural damage to wings of A-10 models was discovered at Hill Air Force Base, UT. (U.S. Air Force Photo taken by SrA Javier Cruz)
