MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Airman 1st Class Michael Barnette, 23rd Civil Engineer Squadron fire fighter, was in eighth grade and only 12 years old when the first attack happened at the World Trade Centers on Sept. 11, 2001. “I have family members in every other branch of service and I was the first one to join the Air Force.
