Flying Tiger lineage
Landing wheels recede as this U.S. Army Air Forces Liberator bomber crosses the shark-nosed bows of U.S. P-40 fighter planes at an advanced U.S. base in China. The aircraft is a part of the Flying Tiger lineage, which dates back to World War II. More than 25 Flying Tigers who served with the 23rd Fighter Group during WW II are expected to be at Moody Air Force Base when Team Moody welcomes approximately 100 members of the 23rd Flying Tiger Association to the base for the 2007 23rd Flying Tiger Association Reunion Oct. 4-6.
