Removing asbestos
MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- A contractor removes asbestos from contaminated soil at a site discovered at Moody in 2005. During the suppression of a wildfire that year, workers came across multiple 55-gallon drums and metal buckets suspected of originally containing paint, pesticides and fuel. Asbestos removal is required before any on-site remediation can occur. (Contributed photo)
