What it takes to be a chief
MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Moody's newest chief master sergeant selectees were honored at the Chief’s Recognition Ceremony here Feb. 20. The first promotions to the rank of chief master sergeant were effective Dec. 1, 1959, when 625 Airmen were promoted to that rank. At that time, line numbers for promotion did not exist, so all eligible members were promoted at once. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Schelli Jones)
