Refreshing coconut
TACLOBAN, Philippines -- Senior Master Sgt. Thomas Niznik, 23rd Maintenance Operations Squadron superintendent, enjoys a fresh coconut here in early April during a 10-day trek on his way to the site where a C-47 Skytrain went down during World War II, leaving its six crew members as “missing in action.” The team was lead by local guides who were ultimately partially responsible for the team’s success in finding the site.
