MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Rose Finch, 23rd Medical Group medical laboratory technician, looks through a microscope and counts red and white blood cells Aug. 1. A certain number of red and white blood cells determine whether or not there is an infection. The lab's ability to correctly determine the presence of an infection was one of the inspected areas during a major, recent inspection.
