MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Chief Master Sergeant Paul Burgess, former Command Chief Master Sergeant, 332d Air Expeditionary Wing, Joint Base Balad, Iraq looks at Brig. Gen. Kenneth Todorov, Director, Standing Joint Force Headquarters, U.S. Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. while he speaks about working with Chief Burgess here Sept. 10 . During the ceremony, General Todorov read an email from Maj. Gen. Craig Franklin, 332d Air Expeditionary Wing commander, that read “Chief Burgess led by example. He was everywhere across the base, at all hours and shifts checking on our Airmen. He often accompanied our security forces Airmen on outside the wire patrols in full battle-rattle. He was quite proud that he could keep up with the youngsters even in 115 plus degree temperatures.
