A volunteer’s worth
On behalf of the 23rd Wing, Col. Gary Henderson, 23rd WG commander, receives a symbolic check worth $923,378 from Victor Johnson, 23rd Force Support Squadron community readiness consultant, May 12 during the 2011 Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Last year, more than 1,500 Moody members donated more than 40,000 hours of volunteer service to the community. The check amount represented the equivalent of what the services would have cost if the volunteers were a paid staff. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Jamal D. Sutter)(RELEASED)
