Less than five seconds
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimated 7,000 people are treated in emergency rooms every year because of fireworks. That’s more than 19 people a day with more than half of those injured being children. Be careful when you are around fireworks this Fourth of July-a 5 second fuse only lasts 3 seconds.
