Pizana Louis and Brianna Consorti, Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 467 avionics technicians out of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., carry a Forward Looking Infrared Radar (FLIR) ball during exercise Atlantic Strike 11-02 at Avon Park Air Force Range, Fla., Sept. 12, 2011. When mounted to helicopters, the FLIR ball captures and collects temperature data and images. It also provides the exact coordinates of targets.
