Self-empowerment

Women’s Self Empowerment Week, observed Jan. 5 to 9, is a time for women to reflect on and feel good about their accomplishments, roles in society, as well as establish new goals for the future. U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Gina Thursby, Senior Airman Jason D. Cunningham Airmen Leadership School commandant, said it’s important for women to be self-empowered because they can’t depend on someone else for fulfillment and accomplishment.
