Preparing the ammunition
U.S. Air Force Senior Airmen Timothy Staab and Michael Morford, both from the 23rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, use an ammunition loading adaptor to feed 30-millimeter ammunition rounds into an A-10C Thunderbolt II during a pilot upgrade training session at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., Jan. 5, 2011. This was the second time the aircraft has flown since the holiday break, and the 23rd AMXS is back to work in preparation for the upcoming operational readiness inspection scheduled for March 28 to April 4.
