Civil engineers get gritty during “A Day In A Life”
Airman 1st Class Jared King, 23d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) water and fuel system maintenance apprentice, saws a structural support beam during the “A Day In A Life” program, Aug. 6, 2018, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. The program challenges participating civil engineers to go behind-the-scenes to perform multiple jobs to better understand their fellow Airmen and better develop operational leaders. The structure shop from the 23d CES maintains the vertical structural integrity of all the facilities on base through painting, locksmithing, welding, metal fabricating and woodworking, along with preventative maintenance on roofs, doors and gates.
