Silent quilt auction to benefit CFC

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- As a contribution to the Combined Federal Campaign, a silent auction for two breast cancer awareness quilts is being held at the 23rd Medical Group.

The auction will end noon Dec. 15 and the winner will sign a CDC pledge card for the proceeds to go to a breast cancer awareness charity. Winners will be contacted by 3 p.m. the same day.

The quilts are on display at the medical records window within the 23rd MDG. Anyone can place a bid on the quilts by going to the window and asking for a bid sheet on the quilt they're interested in.

Those who choose to participate may place a separate bid on the two quilts. The individual with the highest promised donation at the date and time published for the end of the auction will receive the quilt.

All proceeds from this event will go to an eligible nonprofit charity or organization approved and participating in the Moody Combined Federal Campaign.

Because the proceeds will go toward breast cancer awareness, this is a worthy cause and you'll have the chance to win a warm, cozy quilt made with love or a beautiful wall quilt that will cheer up you or someone special.
