Airmen from the 823rd Base Defense Squadron tested their skills during Exercise PREPARED JESTER, a 10-day exercise designed to sharpen the fundamentals of air base defense. The training included mission planning, rucking, vehicle operations and K9 integration while operating in austere environments.

The exercise culminated with 96 hours of field operations to establish and defend multiple contingency locations, pushing Airmen to plan, maneuver, and fight as a team. By combining realistic challenges with mission-focused scenarios, PREPARED JESTER strengthened the squadron’s ability to respond decisively in contested environments.
