Military working dog handlers with the 822nd Base Defense Squadron and their canine partners recently trained and validated their skills at Moody Air Force Base. These sessions ensure both handlers and their K9 partners remain ready to perform detection, obedience, and patrol tasks at the highest level.

Validation is required on a recurring basis to retain certification and provides teams the opportunity to test their ability to work together under realistic conditions. By building trust and sharpening their instincts, handlers and their dogs are able to maintain the readiness needed to support missions at home and abroad anytime.
