MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Last week, 23rd Wing leadership visited Grassy Pond to observe the progress of extensive repairs and upgrades following the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Thanks to the hardworking crews, the area now features new cabins, renovated amenities, and improved recreational options.
Grassy Pond began its phased reopening on June 1, 2025, with limited operations, and full amenities are set to return later this summer, making it the perfect outdoor retreat for Airmen, families, and the local community.
