The 23rd Wing will be conducting an active-shooter response drill with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office between March 24-28, 2025, at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, at an unreleased time to simulate real-time reactions.

The one-day exercise may result in traffic delays or road closures inside the installation. Local residents should expect to see an increased presence of both military and local law enforcement activity to include sirens, possible loudspeaker system notifications, and simulated gun fire.
