Fit to Fight Published Nov. 3, 2008 By 23rd Wing Public Affairs MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Rank and name: Senior Airman Jamie Tranby Unit: 23rd Force Support Squadron Fitness Score: 91 Describe your average week's workout: Monday, Wednesday and Friday I work out twice a day with a medicine ball, bosu ball and free weights as well as do 30 minutes of cardio both sessions. Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends I usually work out at least once with a 30-60 minute cardio session each time as well as free weights and ball exercises. I also like to do different things every once in a while to keep things from getting boring like kick boxing or spin class. What motivates you to stay fit? Staying fit is a great stress reliever. It's just a great way for me to get away from everyday responsibilities and lead by example. What is your fitness philosophy? I am a believer in something is better than nothing. When I can't make it for my normal 30 minutes of cardio, even if I do 15 minutes really pushing myself, I feel better. Do at least one thing a day, whether it's not eating something you know you don't need or parking in a far away parking spot and walking. Do you have any new fitness goals? I am always trying to better myself. I always want to run faster, longer or in general improve my fitness, both in knowledge and performance.
