Cookie drive to provide homemade comforts Published Nov. 20, 2008 By 23rd Wing Public Affairs 23rd Wing Public Affairs MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The Moody Spouse's Club is looking to give back to Airmen on base by holding a cookie drive at the base Chapel from 7 a.m. to noon Dec. 3. Last year, through donations, the spouse's club provided more than 500 Airmen with cookies. "Everyone loves something homemade," said Laura Bowen, Moody Spouses Club member. "We just want to bring something from home for all the Airmen that can't be with their families during the holiday season." This year individuals looking to donate baked goods can simply drive through the u-shaped area in front of the chapel and drop them off, said Mrs. Bowen, adding, they don't even need to get out of the car. After the cookies are collected and separated, the first sergeants will pick up the packaged delectable's and bring them to their single Airmen in the dorms.
